Industry Solutions Different working conditions, different wheels
The same words "cutting wheel" mean completely different requirements in a foundry workshop and on a stainless steel polishing line. Tell us your material, equipment, and speed, and Jinliwei will provide a selection plan based on working conditions, rather than letting you guess by model.
There is no "universal" abrasive product, only the most suitable one
Grinding wheel selection depends on four variables: workpiece material, equipment power, linear speed, and your requirements for cut quality and cost per piece. If any one of these changes, the formula and hardness must be adjusted accordingly. This is also the fundamental reason many customers buy something that "works but does not work well."
Jinliwei has been making resin grinding wheels for 26 years and has served more than 20 industries, including casting, nuclear power, rail transit, and stainless steel processing. Below are typical working conditions and recommended product lines by industry. You can first find the closest match, then let us help you calibrate the parameters.
Six major industry solutions
Casting cleaning and riser cutting
Castings have irregular shapes, blowholes, and impact, so grinding wheels are prone to chunking or edge chipping. They require impact resistance, fast cutting, and short cleaning time per piece.
- Thickened matrix, impact-resistant and resistant to chunking
- Large-diameter cutting wheels, cutting through risers in one pass
- Formulas can be customized according to casting material
Rail cutting and track emergency repair
Portable cutting machines are used on site to cut rails, with limited working space and tight time. They require flat cuts, no burning of the rail surface, and absolutely no wheel burst.
- Special formula, suitable for portable cutting machines
- Flat cuts, reducing secondary grinding
- High-strength matrix, stable in emergency repair scenarios
Stainless steel weld grinding and polishing
Stainless steel is most vulnerable to iron ion contamination and burn discoloration - using the wrong grinding wheel can directly ruin corrosion resistance and appearance, with high rework costs.
- Stainless steel-specific formula, no iron contamination
- Low burning, no secondary discoloration
- Includes conventional specifications such as 103×3×16
High-cleanliness grinding and traceable supply
High cleanliness, low dust, and batch traceability are hard thresholds. Conventional stock models often do not meet them, and customization is needed according to material and working conditions.
- Customizable formula and hardness by working conditions
- Batch inspection reports available
- Supports small-batch trial production before scaling up
Profile and pipe cutting and cut control
For high-volume cutting, both cutting efficiency and flat cuts with low material loss are required - every millimeter of kerf is cost.
- Ultra-thin body, narrow kerf, low loss
- 107 series / 115-125 series complete range
- Regular products in stock, ships in 3 days
Weld seam grinding and deburring
Continuous grinding of multiple weld seams requires a grinding disc that runs smoothly without jumping and has a long service life. Frequent disc changes delay the schedule and increase worker fatigue.
- Smooth grinding, no jumping or vibration
- 100-180mm multi-spec coverage
- Wear-resistant formula, reduces disc change downtime
Four steps for selection
Confirm material and working conditions
Tell us the workpiece material (carbon steel / stainless steel / cast iron / alloy), equipment model and power, and your biggest pain point.
Match specifications and speed
Determine the safe speed based on equipment linear speed (typically within 80m/s), and recommend size, thickness, and formula hardness.
Sample trial grinding verification
Send samples for on-site trial grinding first, compare time per piece, cut quality, and wear amount, then confirm the model.
Bulk supply and technical support
Regular models in stock, ships in 3 days, supports OEM/ODM; if abnormalities occur during use, engineers follow up to troubleshoot.
